Report from Pile of Stones

The Pile of Stones event was phenomenal! A huge thank you to Temple of Praise for graciously opening their doors to host this gathering. From start to finish, every part of the weekend was marked by God’s presence. The services were powerful, and the Saturday sessions were beyond description.

Each teaching felt like a masterclass, and the way the messages from Friday and Saturday night fit together was like hand in glove. Every minister flowed in unity, and the atmosphere was charged with expectancy.

But what stood out most was what happened Saturday morning. Between the second and third session, an impromptu time of prayer broke out. The power of God moved mightily, and when I attempted to transition, the weight of His presence was so heavy I couldn’t speak. We lingered in holy silence as a reverence swept the room. Then, prayer erupted again—and in that moment, something extraordinary took place.

There came a sound into the room—described by some as the most beautiful altar music they had ever heard, by others as harps and piano. Yet there were no musicians, no singers, no soundtrack, and the sound system wasn’t even on.

What we heard was the sound of Heaven.

When God’s people pray, the heavens open, and there is a response from the throne room.

Impromptu Ministry Opportunity

Late in the week, the opportunity opened to minister at Servant Ministries in Germantown, Ohio. The pastor was heading out of town and needed someone to step in on short notice—we gladly said yes. Servant Ministries has been an incredible partner in all that God has been building through Voices of Revival.

As I prepared, I was struck by the Word God placed on my heart. It seems that almost every ministry assignment this year has circled back to one theme: prayer. But for this night, the Lord spoke clearly about the life of Abraham and the struggle between faith and doubt.

After the service had closed, something unexpected happened. A man from the congregation approached me and asked if I would lead him in the sinner’s prayer. To be honest, I had never experienced someone asking me that so directly. It was a beautiful moment. His name is Doug, and I ask you to keep him in prayer this week.

Between Doug’s step of faith and the overflow from the Pile of Stones event, my heart is full. Thank you, Jesus.

Last Week’s Voices of Revival Casts

EP 114 with Keenan Snider and Troy Culbreth

Episode 114 of Voices of Revival brought together two powerful voices—Keenan Snider and Troy Culbreth—for a conversation that dug deep into what it truly means to be a disciple and a leader in the Kingdom of God. The episode began with the foundational question: what does it mean to follow Jesus beyond confession, and how does that translate into real discipleship? From there, the dialogue unfolded into a Spirit-led exploration of surrender, leadership, multiplication, and raising up the next generation.

Troy shared from his journey as pastor of The Well in Cincinnati and the visionary behind Cross Worship, emphasizing the reality that true discipleship starts with making Jesus Lord in every area of life—decisions, relationships, and beyond. Keenan spoke vulnerably about his own experiences of being elevated too quickly, warning leaders not to put gifting above character, and reminding listeners that hidden seasons are vital to preparation. Together, they stressed that leadership in the Kingdom isn’t about platforms but about fruit, multiplication, and equipping others.

Perhaps the most striking theme of the night was the call to multiply disciples. The conversation repeatedly circled back to Jesus’ command in Matthew 28, underscoring that the true measure of leadership is not how many people gather around you, but how many are raised up, equipped, and sent. With passion, testimony, and prophetic urgency, this episode challenged both young leaders and seasoned pastors to redefine success and return to the simplicity of following Jesus closely—“covered in the dust of the Rabbi.”

Top 10 Quotes from Ep. 114

  1. “There’s so much freedom in surrender. What feels like loss is actually the doorway to true peace and joy.” – Keenan Snider

  2. “If He’s not Lord of everything, He’s not Lord at all.” – Troy Culbreth

  3. “Disciples aren’t potted plants—they’re rooted trees. A storm may bend them, but it won’t break them.” – Troy Culbreth

  4. “A leader is first and foremost a disciple. You can’t make disciples if you aren’t one yourself.” – Troy Culbreth

  5. “Leadership isn’t about filling seats—it’s about people seeing Christ rightly in your life.” – Keenan Snider

  6. “Jesus didn’t build buildings. He built people and sent them.” – Bradley Higgins

  7. “Your greatest ministry will be off the stage. The most powerful moments often happen where no one is watching.” – Troy Culbreth

  8. “If your gifting isn’t producing multiplication in others, you’re not doing your job.” – Keenan Snider

  9. “Don’t despise the hidden season. God hides you to protect you and prepare you.” – Troy Culbreth

  10. “When success comes, don’t go high—go low. Humility is the safeguard of a disciple.” – Bradley Higgins

EP 115 with Caleb Ingram, Mark Burd and Angelina Misykouvets

Episode 115 brought together three regional leaders with a burning heart for unity in Ohio: Mark Burd (Revive Ohio), Angelina Misyukovets (Cincy4TheGospel), and Caleb Ingram (Declare Dayton). What unfolded was an authentic and transparent conversation about revival, success, disappointment, and the call to obedience. Each leader shared their journey of building Kingdom partnerships and wrestling with the reality that results often look different than expected.

A central theme of the night was obedience over outcome. Angelina powerfully reminded listeners that “success is obedience,” while Mark spoke about pruning seasons that lead to greater fruit, and Caleb highlighted the tension between holy expectation and discouragement when results fall short. Together, the three painted a picture of revival that isn’t about events or numbers, but about transformed lives, multiplying disciples, and walking faithfully with Jesus no matter the cost.

The conversation also looked ahead with expectancy—sharing about a planned Pentecost Sunday gathering at UD Arena, and envisioning what might happen if every believer simply shared the gospel once a week. Their insights challenged listeners to redefine success, endure through pruning, and love Jesus above revival itself. This episode was a raw and refreshing reminder that revival is not about platforms but about presence, not about performance but about partnership with God.

Top 10 Quotes from Episode 115

  3. “We can’t put the mission above the Man—if our doing outweighs our being with Him, burnout is inevitable.” – Angelina Misyukovets

  5. “Hold on to Jesus—when everything feels upside down, that’s the only answer that sustains.” – Caleb Ingram

  6. “We have to love the Lord more than we love revival.” – Bradley Higgins

  7. “There’s no average Christian in the body of Christ—every believer carries the mission.” – Caleb Ingram

  8. “Would you still love Me if there was never another opportunity? That’s the question God asked me.” – Bradley Higgins

  9. “If every believer in Cincinnati shared the gospel once a week, every lost person would hear it in just 4.5 weeks.” – Angelina Misyukovets

  10. “The Lord doesn’t just want us to do things for Him—He wants to do them with us.” – Mark Burd

The Romans Intensive is here

The Romans Intensive is a month-long discipleship project built around the book of Romans. Throughout the month, Voices of Revival will be hosting a series of large panel discussions—each one bringing together six different voices to unpack the truths of Romans from multiple perspectives. Alongside these conversations, there’s a public Scripture challenge that invites believers to engage with the book of Romans daily, committing it to both study and prayer. The month concludes with a special live stream event designed to bring everything together, highlighting the key themes of the panels and emphasizing how Romans can shape the life of the Church today. At its heart, the Romans Intensive is about digging deep into the Word, building unity across the Body, and equipping believers to live out the gospel with clarity and conviction. Update from Tuesdays

We had another call with our Tuesday Discipleship group. Last week we dove into Peter’s sermon following the Upper Room, and it sparked a rich discussion. Attendance for these calls has been dwindling, with only a few faithful guys consistently making it. With school starting back up, many are being pulled into other commitments. I’m not fully sure what this group will look like moving forward, but I sense a pivot is coming. I don’t know what that means yet, but myself and the other leaders closely involved are praying. I would ask you to join us in prayer. There is something very special here, and we want to steward it with diligence.

During last week’s call, we spent a lot of time discussing prophecy and hearing God’s voice. Peter’s citation of Joel prompted the conversation. One young man admitted that he didn’t understand how to prophesy and had never done so—the very idea of it felt intimidating.

In that moment, a simple but practical truth was shared: prophecy is simply what God is saying. God dwells in us and always has something to say if we will listen. The young man was then asked, “If you are still and you just listen to what God is saying to you, what does God say about you?” The call fell silent until he began to proclaim, under the anointing of God, what the Lord says about him. It was a powerful moment.

Looking ahead, due to a couple of the faithful guys being unable to join, we will be cancelling this week’s call. We’ll return next week with our final session over Acts 2. That session will actually be student-led, with the same young man from the story above leading the study.

Base Camp Intensive

We are excited to announce that on September 26–27, Voices of Revival will host a special weekend event at Base Camp in Wilmington, Ohio—the same campgrounds that house Southern Ohio Youth Camp.

Guests are welcome to stay on-site for the weekend. The gathering begins Friday night with a powerful service followed by a late-night prayer meeting. Saturday will open with prayer, continue with sessions throughout the day, and conclude with a 7 PM service. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided on Saturday. The cost to attend is $75, which covers lodging and meals.

The theme of the weekend is The Holy Spirit. Together, we will seek to know Him more deeply, discover His role in our lives, and unpack the gifts of the Spirit. We are honored to welcome a dynamic lineup of speakers: Keenan Snider, Ryan Young, Russ Bray, and myself. Coming off the heels of this past weekend’s Pile of Stones event, my anticipation for the Base Camp Intensive is high.

While my anticipation is high, this project is a big undertaking for us, and we cannot do it alone. I know those who read this newsletter love what we are building and are already invested. Normally, newsletters struggle to maintain a 20% open rate, yet we consistently see over 50%. That tells me something powerful: you are with us.

If every one of our faithful readers were to rally behind this effort and send just a couple of people to Base Camp, not only would the event be logistically set up for success, but it would also move into a place of abundance—funding not only this weekend but also fueling all of our endeavors in 2026.

I’m asking you to prayerfully consider investing—whether that’s by attending, sending others, or directly sowing into this work. Together, we can see the fire of revival spread further and wider than ever before.
