Voices of Revival Weekly
May the glory and fire of God fall.

🕊 Cast 1: Loving the Church Even When It Hurts

We hosted two Voices of Revival conversations this week. In the first we were joined by Ethan Robison and David Coffey.
We talked about:
How to be critical without becoming cynical
Why real critique of the Church must be born from love, not offense
The difference between venting about pastors and churches vs contending for the Bride of Christ
The call to pray more than we complain, and to carry a real burden for the people and leaders we say we “care” about
We used the analogy that you don’t become a food critic because you hate food—you critique because you love it and long for “better.” In the same way, we don’t critique the Church because we despise her, but because we see what Jesus died for her to be.
That cast sparked several reels this week calling believers back to loving the Church, praying for the Church, and refusing to partner with bitterness—and the response to those reels set the stage for what comes next.
❄️ Cast 2: Impromptu Snowstorm Episode w/ Ryan Young

In the wake of this weekend’s winter snowstorm, we went live with an impromptu Voices of Revival featuring our friend Evangelist Ryan Young.
What started as a simple snow-day stream turned into a sobering conversation about where we are as the Church in this hour.
Some key threads:
Pursuit over size & style
God hasn’t lost His power. The real question is: are we still pursuing Him? Ryan shared about churches of all sizes who sincerely chase after the Holy Spirit—and others who don’t. Size doesn’t equal compromise or faithfulness; hunger does.Pride, platform, and being okay with “ordinary”
Ryan shared how the Lord confronted him with the question:A Holy Spirit lifestyle beyond the microphone
We talked about how a Spirit-led life looks like:Owning your mistakes
Refusing to deflect blame
Blessing enemies instead of cutting them off
These “hidden” obediences are just as Spirit-filled as prophecy and healing.
Jesus at the center – not the monument
Ryan unpacked the message he had prepared for the revival that got canceled: it’s easy to build monuments around encounters, buildings, events, and names—but nothing is special unless Jesus shows up. The goal is not a big event, but a place where He is actually welcomed.
The whole conversation carried a sense that we are at a tipping point—with great potential for awakening, but also great danger if we don’t humble ourselves and return to simple, costly obedience.
🎙 This Monday: Responding to the Pushback
This Monday night, Keenan Snider, Ethan Robison, and David Coffey will be joining me for a follow-up cast.
All week, we’ve pushed reels calling believers to love the Church and let any criticism flow from that place. The feedback was… revealing. In this episode, we’ll respond directly to three real comments we received. The three comments are listed below.
“Most Christians that are criticized are not true believers so this doesn’t apply.”
“Church is the believers, not a place. You’re becoming defensive about a place, a building, a dogma. Once you realize believers are the church you’ll realize how silly your question is.”
“We don’t defend the church. Organized church, religion, denominations are not of God. It’s a program from start to finish. Jesus on the other hand is a King and His Kingdom is coming.”
We’re not going live to argue on the internet.
We’re going live to:
Re-center on Scripture
Call believers to love what Jesus loves
If you’ve wrestled with church hurt, disillusionment, or frustration with “organized religion,” this conversation is for you.

🌿 Reflections
I’m genuinely thankful for everyone God has woven into this community.
The people He has raised up in this region—and their pursuit of Him—are beautiful. We don’t have to look far to find burning hearts. Everything we need is here.
God has surrounded us with revivalists, intercessors, pastors, evangelists, worshipers, and everyday believers who simply want Jesus. It’s a privilege to run with those He has placed around us.
We’ve already seen Him do many beautiful things among us.
And He is far from done.
May the glory and fire of God fall.
