God Is Moving — Now We Have to Steward It

Hey VOR family — here’s your weekly update with a recap from last week’s cast, what’s happening this week, and what’s coming next.

Last Week on VOR | Episode 160 Recap
Last week’s episode was a full-table conversation that carried a clear thread: God is moving, but we have to steward what He’s doing. We kicked off with updates from the crew, including a powerful missions report from Honduras — not just stories of ministry impact, but the kind of testimony that recalibrates your perspective. From providing supplies to an orphanage, to sponsoring an entire youth camp so students could attend for free, the conversation emphasized that love transcends language and culture. One moment that especially stood out was the testimony of a 12-year-old stepping out in boldness, speaking “freedom,” and watching deliverance unfold — a sobering reminder that God uses willing vessels, not impressive resumes.
From there, the discussion turned toward what many of us are seeing in our own backyard: the surge of new students, salvations, baptisms, and hunger. But the question that hung in the air was important: Are we simply celebrating fruit in the moment, or are we building something that lasts? The cast leaned hard into the reality that salvation isn’t the finish line—it’s the starting point. What happens after the altar matters. Follow-up matters. Mentorship matters. Accountability matters. We talked about “camp highs,” emotional Christianity, and the crucial difference between chasing feelings and living in response to the Spirit of God through the Word. The episode closed with a strong call to pursue Jesus’ heart in the everyday — choosing forgiveness, choosing unity, choosing to be peacemakers, and choosing to live like Jesus even when it costs us.
Top 5 Quotes from the Episode
“Love isn’t just through your language… love can be spread through a kind smile, through the look in your eyes.”
“The thing that hooked most of us wasn’t a sermon. It was somebody that locked arms with us and did life with us.”
“When we boil the Spirit of God down to a feeling, we’ve completely missed it.”
“Many of our most meaningful discipleship encounters we have with people are things we’re not even going to remember.”
“Blessed are the peacemakers… saying you’re sorry isn’t about being right or wrong. It’s about pursuing unity.”

Tuesday Prayer Call | Regional Intercessors (Zoom)
Our Tuesday gathering of regional intercessors resumes tomorrow night at 9PM.
I personally will not be on this call — Edie Groover will be spearheading it with the help of a few others. We’ll be back at it next week, and I will be on next week’s call. Next week is important as we begin bringing more structure to this group that’s still forming.
If you’re interested in being a part of the regional intercessors, please reach out.
Friday Gathering | Unity Night in Cincinnati
Every Friday leading up to Riverfront Revival (end of May), we’re doing some kind of Friday gathering — prayer meeting or unity service.
This week is an “out of the normal” week: instead of VOR hosting, we’re coming behind a unity gathering organized by Cincy 4 the Gospel, hosted at The Well in Cincinnati.
If you want to tag along, reach out — we’re taking a crew down.

VOR Unity Rally Next Friday
Speaking of Friday gatherings — next Friday is our end-of-month Unity Rally.
It will be hosted by Servant Ministries (Germantown), and we’ll have our own David Coffey ministering at the gathering.
Riverfront Revival Vision Meeting Recap
As we close, I want to reflect back on the Riverfront Revival Vision Meeting last Tuesday. We could not be more pleased with the night.
We had close to 40 leaders in the room — and that’s with several of our largest partners unable to attend, plus a number of others who couldn’t make it. Even with that, it was the largest turnout we’ve had for one of these vision meetings.
This excites me. The support for this year has radically multiplied from where it was last year to now — and we’re just getting started.
Love you guys. Grateful for every one of you.
See you tonight at 10PM.
