Raising Samuels

Family,
The past week with Voices of Revival has been rich, weighty, and deeply encouraging. The conversations we’ve had recently have centered on obedience, discipleship, and the long-term fruit of saying yes to God—especially in the lives of young people. Below is a recap of the last two episodes, along with important updates and what’s coming up next.

Episode 159 | William Highley — Waiting, Obedience, & Raising Samuels
Episode 159 was a powerful and deeply reflective conversation with William Highley that centered on youth ministry, the cost of obedience, and the unseen fruit of faithfulness. William shared openly about what God has been doing in the youth group he and his wife steward—highlighting authentic growth, relational discipleship, and multiple testimonies of healing and transformation among students.
The conversation leaned heavily into the tension between waiting and fulfillment. William spoke candidly about seasons of delay, resisting the urge to force God’s timing, and how learning to wait prepared him for fruit that could be sustained. The discussion eventually turned to the story of Samuel and Eli, unpacking what it looks like to recognize God’s voice in the next generation and to create space for young people to hear God for themselves.
One of the strongest themes of the night was this: real success in ministry cannot be measured in the moment. The fruit of obedience often shows up years later. The episode was a sober reminder that raising one Samuel is worth a lifetime of quiet faithfulness—and that revival is often stewarded through unseen sacrifice.

Episode 160 | Panel Discussion — Discipleship, Stewardship, & Lingering in God’s Presence
Episode 160 featured a full panel with Ian Francis, Cameron Rebar, Zach Sharrett, Jordan Guinn, and Collin Lawson. The conversation flowed through missions, youth ministry, street outreach, and the responsibility leaders carry in seasons of growth.
We heard testimonies from Honduras, stories of evangelism through 2028 Ministries, and firsthand accounts of what God is doing through youth movements like Haven. As the discussion progressed, the focus sharpened around discipleship—particularly the danger of celebrating decisions without walking with people afterward.
A recurring theme throughout the night was the importance of follow-up, accountability, and teaching believers how to linger in God’s presence. The panel wrestled honestly with emotional “highs,” camp culture, forgiveness, and the responsibility leaders have to model humility, prayer, and perseverance. There was a strong call to be peacemakers, to resist the flesh’s urge to react, and to pursue unity even when it costs us personally.
The night concluded with a clear challenge: revival must be stewarded, not just celebrated. Lives are watching. Seeds are being planted. And what God is doing now must be protected through intentional relationship and prayer.
